Travel Health Clinic Nurses - F/T, P/T and Bank shifts - Locations across UK

Our Travel Clinic network is constantly growing and at present we have multiple job opportunities in various locations / various start dates. We also have vacancies for Senior fully trained Travel Health Nurses across the UK.

Description:

The job holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing travel health clinic services within the scope of the MASTA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Providing risk assessment, advice, administering vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis and other travel related medicines within the framework of MASTA Patient Group Directions. Managing CQC requirements.
  • Utilising MASTA's e-clinic software to provide up to date information and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Ensuring good communication within the clinical team and a safe environment for the delivery of clinical services in MASTA's.

Essential Skills:

  • Registered Nurse with experience in general nursing and ideally experience in travel health (although not entirely necessary as full training will be given).
  • Personal experience of travel and an interest in travel medicine is beneficial.
  • An understanding of the regulatory and governance frameworks within healthcare.
  • Experience in clinical consultation, vaccine administration including intradermal vaccinations and venepuncture (or willingness to learn).
  • Computer literacy is essential as is the ability to work as part of a team, be enthusiastic, conscientious, well organised and have a willingness to learn new skills.
